Vayikra / Leviticus 1.1-5.26

{1:1} HaSHEM called to Moshe, and spoke to him out of the Tent of Meeting, saying, {1:2} "Speak to the Bnei Yisrael, and tell them, 'When anyone of you offers an korban to HaSHEM, you shall offer your offering of the cattle, of the herd and of the flock. {1:3} If his offering is an olah korban of the herd, he shall offer a male without blemish. He shall offer it at the door of the Ohel Moed, that he may be accepted before HaSHEM. {1:4} He shall lay his hand on the head of the olah offering, and it shall be accepted for him to make Kapparah for him. {1:5} He shall kill the bull before HaSHEM. Aharon's sons, the cohenim, shall present the blood and sprinkle the blood around on the mizbeah that is at the door of the Ohel Moed. {1:6} He shall flay the burnt-offering, and cut it into its pieces. {1:7} The sons of Aharon the cohen shall put fire on the altar, and lay wood in order on the fire; {1:8} and Aharon's sons, the cohenim, shall lay the pieces, the head, and the fat in order on the wood that is on the fire which is on the altar; {1:9} but its innards and its legs he shall wash with water. The cohen shall burn the whole on the altar, for a burnt offering, an korban made by fire, of a sweet savor to HaSHEM. {1:10} If his korban is of the flock, of the sheep, or of the goats, for an olah offering, he shall offer a male without blemish. {1:11} He shall kill it on the side of the mizbeah northward before HaSHEM. Aharon's sons, the cohenim, shall sprinkle its blood around on the altar. {1:12} He shall cut it into its pieces, with its head and its fat. The cohen shall lay them in order on the wood that is on the fire which is on the altar, {1:13} but the innards and the legs he shall wash with water. The cohen shall offer the whole, and burn it on the altar: it is an olah offering, an korban made by fire, of a sweet savor to HaSHEM. {1:14} If his korban to HaSHEM is an olah korban of birds, then he shall offer his korban of turtle-doves, or of young pigeons. {1:15} The cohen shall bring it to the altar, and wring off its head, and burn it on the altar; and its blood shall be drained out on the side of the altar; {1:16} and he shall take away its crop with its filth, and cast it beside the mizbeah on the east part, in the place of the ashes: {1:17} and he shall tear it by its wings, but shall not divide it apart. The cohen shall burn it on the altar, on the wood that is on the fire. It is an olah offering, an korban made by fire, of a sweet savor to HaSHEM.

{2:1} "'When anyone offers an korban of a meal-offering to HaSHEM, his korban shall be of fine flour; and he shall pour oil on it, and put frankincense on it. {2:2} He shall bring it to Aharon's sons the cohenim; and he shall take his handful of its fine flour, and of its oil, with all its frankincense; and the cohen shall burn the memorial of it on the altar, an korban made by fire, of a sweet savor to HaSHEM. {2:3} That which is left of the meal-offering shall be Aharon's and his sons'. It is a most kadosh thing of the offerings of HaSHEM made by fire. {2:4} When you offer an korban of a meal-offering baked in the oven, it shall be unchametz cakes of fine flour mingled with oil, or unchametz wafers anointed with oil. {2:5} If your korban is a meal-offering of the baking-pan, it shall be of unchametz fine flour, mingled with oil. {2:6} You shall cut it in pieces, and pour oil on it. It is a meal-offering. {2:7} If your korban be a meal-offering of the frying-pan, it shall be made of fine flour with oil. {2:8} You shall bring the meal-offering that is made of these things to HaSHEM: and it shall be presented to the cohen, and he shall bring it to the altar. {2:9} The cohen shall take up from the meal-offering the memorial of it, and shall burn it on the altar, an korban made by fire, of a sweet savor to HaSHEM. {2:10} That which is left of the meal-offering shall be Aharon's and his sons': it is a thing most kadosh of the offerings of HaSHEM made by fire. {2:11} No meal-offering, which you shall offer to HaSHEM, shall be made with yeast; for you shall burn no yeast, nor any honey, as an korban made by fire to HaSHEM. {2:12} As an korban of first -[fruits] you shall offer them to HaSHEM: but they shall not come up for a sweet savor on the altar. {2:13} every offering of your meal-offering shall you season with salt; neither shall you allow the salt of the brit of your G-D to be lacking from your meal-offering: with all your offerings you shall offer salt. {2:14} If you offer a meal-offering of bukirim (firstfruits) to HaSHEM, you shall offer for the meal-offering of your bukirim (firstfruits) grain in the ear parched with fire, bruised grain of the fresh ear. {2:15} You shall put oil on it, and lay frankincense thereon: it is a meal-offering. {2:16} The cohen shall burn the memorial of it, part of the bruised grain of it, and part of the oil of it, with all the frankincense of it: it is an offering made by fire to HaSHEM.

{3:1} If his korban be a korban of Shalom-offerings; if he offer of the herd, whether male or female, he shall offer it without blemish before HaSHEM. {3:2} He shall lay his hand on the head of his offering, and kill it at the door of the Ohel Moed: and Aharon's sons the cohenim shall sprinkle the blood on the mizbeah round about. {3:3} He shall offer of the korban of Shalom-offerings an offering made by fire to HaSHEM; the fat that covers the inwards, and all the fat that is on the inwards, {3:4} and the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is by the loins, and the cover on the liver, with the kidneys, shall he take away. {3:5} Aharon's sons shall burn it on the altar on the olah offering, which is on the wood that is on the fire: it is an korban made by fire, of a sweet savor to HaSHEM. {3:6} If his korban for a korban of Shalom-offerings to HaSHEM be of the flock; male or female, he shall offer it without blemish. {3:7} If he offer a lamb for his offering, then shall he offer it before HaSHEM; {3:8} and he shall lay his hand on the head of his offering, and kill it before the Ohel Moed: and Aharon's sons shall sprinkle the blood of it on the mizbeah round about. {3:9} He shall offer of the sacrifice of Shalom-offerings an korban made by fire to HaSHEM; the fat of it, the fat tail entire, he shall take away hard by the backbone; and the fat that covers the inwards, and all the fat that is on the inwards, {3:10} and the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is by the loins, and the cover on the liver, with the kidneys, shall he take away. {3:11} The cohen shall burn it on the altar: it is the food of the korban made by fire to HaSHEM. {3:12} If his korban be a goat, then he shall offer it before HaSHEM: {3:13} and he shall lay his hand on the head of it, and kill it before the Ohel Moed; and the sons of Aharon shall sprinkle the blood of it on the mizbeah round about. {3:14} He shall offer of it his offering, [even] an korban made by fire to HaSHEM; the fat that covers the inwards, and all the fat that is on the inwards, {3:15} and the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is by the loins, and the cover on the liver, with the kidneys, shall he take away. {3:16} The cohen shall burn them on the altar: it is the food of the offering made by fire, for a sweet savor; all the fat is HaSHEM's. {3:17} It shall be a perpetual statute throughout your generations in all your dwellings, that you shall eat neither fat nor blood.

{4:1} HaSHEM spoke to Moshe, saying, {4:2} Speak to the Bnei Yisrael, saying, If anyone shall chat'at unwittingly, in any of the things which HaSHEM has commanded not to be done, and shall do any one of them: {4:3} if the anointed cohen shall chat'at so as to bring guilt on the people, then let him offer for his sin, which he has sinned, a young bull without blemish to HaSHEM for a sin-offering. {4:4} He shall bring the bull to the door of the Ohel Moed before HaSHEM; and he shall lay his hand on the head of the bull, and kill the bull before HaSHEM. {4:5} The anointed cohen shall take of the blood of the bull, and bring it to the Ohel Moed: {4:6} and the cohen shall dip his finger in the blood, and sprinkle of the blood seven times before HaSHEM, before the veil of the sanctuary. {4:7} The cohen shall put of the blood on the horns of the mizbeah of sweet incense before HaSHEM, which is in the Ohel Moed; and all the blood of the bull shall he pour out at the base of the mizbeah of olah offering, which is at the door of the Ohel Moed. {4:8} All the fat of the bull of the sin-offering he shall take off from it; the fat that covers the inwards, and all the fat that is on the inwards, {4:9} and the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is by the loins, and the cover on the liver, with the kidneys, shall he take away, {4:10} as it is taken off from the ox of the korban of Shalom-offerings: and the cohen shall burn them on the mizbeah of olah offering. {4:11} The skin of the bull, and all its flesh, with its head, and with its legs, and its inwards, and its dung, {4:12} even the whole bull shall he carry forth outside the camp to a tahor place, where the ashes are poured out, and burn it on wood with fire: where the ashes are poured out shall it be burnt. {4:13} If the whole Kahilah of Yisrael err, and the thing be hid from the eyes of the assembly, and they have done any of the things which HaSHEM has commanded not to be done, and are guilty; {4:14} when the chat'at in which they have sinned is known, then the assembly shall offer a young bull for a sin-offering, and bring it before the Ohel Moed. {4:15} The elders of the Kahilah shall lay their hands on the head of the bull before HaSHEM; and the bull shall be killed before HaSHEM. {4:16} The anointed cohen shall bring of the blood of the bull to the Ohel Moed: {4:17} and the cohen shall dip his finger in the blood, and sprinkle it seven times before HaSHEM, before the veil. {4:18} He shall put of the blood on the horns of the mizbeah which is before HaSHEM, that is in the Ohel Moed; and all the blood shall he pour out at the base of the mizbeah of burnt offering, which is at the door of the Ohel Moed. {4:19} All the fat of it shall he take off from it, and burn it on the altar. {4:20} Thus shall he do with the bull; as he did with the bull of the sin-offering, so shall he do with this; and the cohen shall make Kapparah for them, and they shall be forgiven. {4:21} He shall carry forth the bull outside the camp, and burn it as he burned the first bull: it is the sin-offering for the assembly. {4:22} When a ruler sins, and does unwittingly any one of all the things which HaSHEM his G-D has commanded not to be done, and is guilty; {4:23} if his sin, in which he has sinned, be made known to him, he shall bring for his offering a goat, a male without blemish. {4:24} He shall lay his hand on the head of the goat, and kill it in the place where they kill the burnt-offering before HaSHEM: it is a sin-offering. {4:25} The cohen shall take of the blood of the sin-offering with his finger, and put it on the horns of the mizbeah of olah offering; and the blood of it shall he pour out at the base of the mizbeah of olah offering. {4:26} All the fat of it shall he burn on the altar, as the fat of the korban of Shalom-offerings; and the cohen shall make Kapparah for him as concerning his sin, and he shall be forgiven. {4:27} If anyone of the common people chat'at unwittingly, in doing any of the things which HaSHEM has commanded not to be done, and be guilty; {4:28} if his sin, which he has sinned, be made known to him, then he shall bring for his offering a goat, a female without blemish, for his chat'at which he has sinned. {4:29} He shall lay his hand on the head of the sin-offering, and kill the sin-offering in the place of olah offering. {4:30} The cohen shall take of the blood of it with his finger, and put it on the horns of the mizbeah of olah offering; and all the blood of it shall he pour out at the base of the altar. {4:31} All the fat of it shall he take away, as the fat is taken away from off the korban of Shalom-offerings; and the cohen shall burn it on the mizbeah for a sweet savor to HaSHEM; and the cohen shall make Kapparah for him, and he shall be forgiven. {4:32} If he bring a lamb as his korban for a sin-offering, he shall bring it a female without blemish. {4:33} He shall lay his hand on the head of the sin-offering, and kill it for a sin-offering in the place where they kill the olah offering. {4:34} The cohen shall take of the blood of the sin-offering with his finger, and put it on the horns of the mizbeah of olah offering; and all the blood of it shall he pour out at the base of the altar: {4:35} and all the fat of it shall he take away, as the fat of the lamb is taken away from the korban of Shalom-offerings; and the cohen shall burn them on the altar, on the offerings of HaSHEM made by fire; and the cohen shall make Kapparah for him as touching his chat'at that he has sinned, and he shall be forgiven.

{5:1} If anyone sins, in that he hears the voice of adjuration, he being a witness, whether he has seen or known, if he doesn't report it, then he shall bear his iniquity. {5:2} Or if anyone touch any tam'ei thing, whether it be the carcass of an tam'ei animal, or the carcass of tam'ei cattle, or the carcass of tam'ei creeping things, and it be hidden from him, and he be tam'ei, then he shall be guilty. {5:3} Or if he touch the tam'ei(ness) of man, whatever his tam'ei(ness) be with which he is tam'ei, and it be hid from him; when he knows of it, then he shall be guilty. {5:4} Or if anyone swear rashly with his lips to do evil, or to do good, whatever it be that an ish shall utter rashly with an oath, and it be hid from him; when he knows of it, then he shall be guilty in one of these [things]. {5:5} It shall be, when he shall be guilty in one of these [things], that he shall confess that in which he has sinned: {5:6} and he shall bring his trespass-offering to HaSHEM for his chat'at which he has sinned, a female from the flock, a lamb or a goat, for a sin-offering; and the cohen shall make Kapparah for him as concerning his sin. {5:7} If his means aren't sufficient for a lamb, then he shall bring his trespass-offering for that in which he has sinned, two turtle-doves, or two young pigeons, to HaSHEM; one for a sin-offering, and the other for an olah offering. {5:8} He shall bring them to the cohen, who shall offer that which is for the sin-offering first, and wring off its head from its neck, but shall not divide it apart: {5:9} and he shall sprinkle of the blood of the sin-offering on the side of the altar; and the rest of the blood shall be drained out at the base of the altar: it is a sin-offering. {5:10} He shall offer the second for an olah offering, according to the huchim; and the cohen shall make Kapparah for him as concerning his chat'at which he has sinned, and he shall be forgiven. {5:11} But if his means aren't sufficient for two turtle-doves, or two young pigeons, then he shall bring his korban for that in which he has sinned, the tithe of an ephah of fine flour for a sin-offering: he shall put no oil on it, neither shall he put any frankincense thereon; for it is a sin-offering. {5:12} He shall bring it to the cohen, and the cohen shall take his handful of it as the memorial of it, and burn it on the altar, on the offerings of HaSHEM made by fire: it is a sin-offering. {5:13} The cohen shall make Kapparah for him as touching his chat'at that he has sinned in any of these things, and he shall be forgiven: and [the remnant] shall be the cohen's, as the meal-offering. {5:14} HaSHEM spoke to Moshe, saying, {5:15} If anyone commits a trespass, and sin unwittingly, in the kadosh things of HaSHEM; then he shall bring his trespass-offering to HaSHEM, a ram without blemish out of the flock, according to your estimation in silver by shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary, for a trespass-offering: {5:16} and he shall make restitution for that which he has done amiss in the kadosh thing, and shall add the fifth part thereto, and give it to the cohen; and the cohen shall make Kapparah for him with the ram of the trespass-offering, and he shall be forgiven. {5:17} If anyone sins, and does any of the things which HaSHEM has commanded not to be done; though he didn't know it, yet he is guilty, and shall bear his iniquity. {5:18} He shall bring a ram without blemish out of the flock, according to your estimation, for a trespass-offering, to the cohen; and the cohen shall make Kapparah for him concerning the thing in which he erred unwittingly and didn't know it, and he shall be forgiven. {5:19} It is a trespass-offering: he is certainly guilty before HaSHEM.

{6:1} HaSHEM spoke to Moshe, saying, {6:2} If anyone sins, and commit a trespass against HaSHEM, and deal falsely with his neighbor in a matter of deposit, or of bargain, or of robbery, or have oppressed his neighbor, {6:3} or have found that which was lost, and deal falsely therein, and swear to a lie; in any of all these things that an ishdoes, sinning therein; {6:4} then it shall be, if he has sinned, and is guilty, that he shall restore that which he took by robbery, or the thing which he has gotten by oppression, or the deposit which was committed to him, or the lost thing which he found, {6:5} or any thing about which he has sworn falsely; he shall even restore it in full, and shall add the fifth part more thereto: to him to whom it appertains shall he give it, in the day of his being found guilty. {6:6} He shall bring his trespass-offering to HaSHEM, a ram without blemish out of the flock, according to your estimation, for a trespass-offering, to the cohen: {6:7} and the cohen shall make Kapparah for him before HaSHEM; and he shall be forgiven concerning whatever he does so as to be guilty thereby.

HAFTARAH

Yeshayahu / Isaiah 43:21- 44:23

43:21 the people which I formed for myself, that they might set forth my praise. 43:22 Yet you have not called on me, Jacob; but you have been weary of me, Israel. 43:23 You have not brought me of your sheep for burnt offerings; neither have you honored me with your sacrifices. I have not burdened you with offerings, nor wearied you with frankincense. 43:24 You have bought me no sweet cane with money, nor have you filled me with the fat of your sacrifices; but you have burdened me with your sins. You have wearied me with your iniquities. 43:25 I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake; and I will not remember your sins. 43:26 Put me in remembrance. Let us plead together. Set forth your case, that you may be justified. 43:27 Your first father sinned, and your teachers have transgressed against me. 43:28 Therefore I will profane the princes of the sanctuary; and I will make Jacob a curse, and Israel a reviling."

44:1 Yet listen now, Jacob my servant, and Israel, whom I have chosen. 44:2 This is what HaShem who made you, and formed you from the womb, who will help you says: "Don't be afraid, Jacob my servant; and you, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen. 44:3 For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and streams on the dry ground. I will pour my Spirit on your seed, and my blessing on your offspring: 44:4 and they will spring up among the grass, as willows by the watercourses. 44:5 One will say, 'I am HaShem's;' and another will be called by the name of Jacob; and another will write with his hand 'to HaShem,' and honor the name of Israel." 44:6 This is what HaShem, the King of Israel, and his Redeemer, HaShem of Armies, says: "I am the first, and I am the last; and besides me there is no G-d. 44:7 Who is like me? Who will call, and will declare it, and set it in order for me, since I established the ancient people? Let them declare the things that are coming, and that will happen. 44:8 Don't fear, neither be afraid. Haven't I declared it to you long ago, and shown it? You are my witnesses. Is there a G-d besides me? Indeed, there is not. I don't know any other Rock." 44:9 Everyone who makes an engraved image is vain. The things that they delight in will not profit. Their own witnesses don't see, nor know, that they may be disappointed. 44:10 Who has fashioned a G-d, or molds an image that is profitable for nothing? 44:11 Behold, all his fellows will be disappointed; and the workmen are mere men. Let them all be gathered together. Let them stand up. They will fear. They will be put to shame together. 44:12 The blacksmith makes an axe, works in the coals, fashions it with hammers, and works it with his strong arm: yes, he is hungry, and his strength fails; he drinks no water, and is faint. 44:13 The carpenter stretches out a line; he marks it out with a pencil; he shapes it with planes, and he marks it out with the compasses, and shapes it after the figure of a man, according to the beauty of a man, to dwell in a house. 44:14 He cuts down cedars for himself, and takes the cypress and the oak, and strengthens for himself one among the trees of the forest: he plants a fir tree, and the rain nourishes it. 44:15 Then shall it be for a man to burn; and he takes of it, and warms himself; yes, he kindles it, and bakes bread: yes, he makes a god, and worships it; he makes it an engraved image, and falls down to it. 44:16 He burns part of it in the fire; with part of it he eats flesh; he roasts roast, and is satisfied; yes, he warms himself, and says, Aha, I am warm, I have seen the fire. 44:17 The residue of it he makes a god, even his engraved image; he falls down to it and worships, and prays to it, and says, Deliver me; for you are my god. 44:18 They don't know, neither do they consider: for he has shut their eyes, that they can't see; and their hearts, that they can't understand. 44:19 None calls to mind, neither is there knowledge nor understanding to say, I have burned part of it in the fire; yes, also I have baked bread on the coals of it; I have roasted flesh and eaten it: and shall I make the residue of it an abomination? shall I fall down to the stock of a tree? 44:20 He feeds on ashes; a deceived heart has turned him aside; and he can't deliver his soul, nor say, Is there not a lie in my right hand? 44:21 Remember these things, Jacob, and Israel; for you are my servant: I have formed you; you are my servant: Israel, you shall not be forgotten by me. 44:22 I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, your transgressions, and, as a cloud, your sins: return to me; for I have redeemed you. 44:23 Sing, you heavens, for HaShem has done it; shout, you lower parts of the earth; break forth into singing, you mountains, O forest, and every tree therein: for HaShem has redeemed Jacob, and will glorify himself in Israel.

BRIT CHADASHA / NEW COVENANT

Messianic Jews / Hebrews 10:1-18

10:1 For the Torah, having a shadow of the good to come, not the very image of the things, can never with the same sacrifices year by year, which they offer continually, make perfect those who draw near. 10:2 Or else wouldn't they have ceased to be offered, because the worshippers, having been once cleansed, would have had no more consciousness of sins? 10:3 But in those sacrifices there is yearly reminder of sins. 10:4 For it is impossible that the blood of bulls and goats should take away sins. 10:5 Therefore when he comes into the world, he says,

"Sacrifice and offering you didn't desire, but you prepared a body for me; 10:6 You had no pleasure in whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin. 10:7 Then I said, 'Behold, I have come (in the scroll of the book it is written of me) to do your will, O G-d.'"* 10:8 Previously saying, "Sacrifices and offerings and whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin you didn't desire, neither had pleasure in them" (those which are offered according to the Torah), 10:9 then he has said, "Behold, I have come to do your will." He takes away the first, that he may establish the second, 10:10 by which will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Yeshua the Messiah once for all. 10:11 Every priest indeed stands day by day serving and often offering the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins, 10:12 but he, when he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of G-d; 10:13 from that time waiting until his enemies are made the footstool of his feet. 10:14 For by one offering he has perfected forever those who are being sanctified. 10:15 The Holy Spirit also testifies to us, for after saying,

10:16 "This is the covenant that I will make with them: 'After those days,' says HaShem, 'I will put my laws on their heart, I will also write them on their mind;'" then he says, 10:17 "I will remember their sins and their iniquities no more." 10:18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
