Halachah a lifestyle
It is approximately 26 hours until Kol Nidre
service at our synagogue and I was thinking. Not that I was thinking about some monumental
article to write for you concerning all vows, confessed sin and atonement. I was thinking
about Halachah, Messianic Halachah that is. What is? Halachah is lifestyle.
What struck me and I thought very noteworthy was this. Being Jewish
and being a believer in Mesiah Yeshua is not just for synagogue times. It is not just for
Sisterhood meetings and going to that nice young couples bris. It is for every minute of
the day and night.
Being a Messianic Jew is not just for worship
times. It is not just for prayer times, it is everything you do. It is in the food you
prepare for your family. It is in the way you dress and yes, even in the way you shop. It
is in the way you present yourself in business if you are a working woman.
It is in everything you do from waking up to going
to sleep at night. Knowing and loving the G-d of Yisrael is a full time devotion, not just
an hour of prayer or a Shabbat service.
