The Hebrew alphabet,
known as the aleph-bet (for the names of the first two letters: aleph and bet) has 22
letters and five sofiyot (letters whose forms change when they appear at the end of a
word). According to Jewish mysticism, everything about these letters their form, name,
numerical value, even their position in the alphabet is meaningful.
The Hebrew Bible was written in
Hebrew, thus we believe that it is important to learn this Holy Tongue, since it is the
language of the Torah and Prophets of old |
