Bamidbar {4:21} HaShem spoke to Moshe, saying, {4:22} Take the sum of the sons of Gershon also, by their avot' (fathers’) houses, by their families; {4:23} from thirty years old and upward until fifty years old shall you number them; all who enter in to wait on the service, to do the work in the Ohel Moed (Tent of Meeting). {4:24} This is the service of the families of the Gershonites, in serving and in bearing burdens: {4:25} they shall bear the curtains of the tent, and the tent of meeting, its covering, and the covering of sealskin that is above on it, and the screen for the door of the Ohel Moed, {4:26} and the hangings of the court, and the screen for the door of the gate of the court, which is by the tent and by the Mizbeah (Altar) round about, and their cords, and all the instruments of their service, and whatever shall be done with them: therein shall they serve.

Just as HaShem designated specific responsibilities of the priestly family of Gershon, so did He with the priestly families of Merari and Kohath. Each family was given a specific duty and neither of the families could do the others job. If they did it would have been like bring “strange fire” before the L-rd and we know how He previously dealt with that situation! Every Levitical family had to do their own specified job each time HaShem chose to move Yisrael, and they had to do it in the proper order.

HaShem, I believe, has also assigned to each one of us certain responsibilities that we need to perform here on earth. That is why we are told:

Korintim Alef (1 Corinthians) {12:14} For the body is not one member, but many. {12:15} If the foot should say, "Because I am not a hand, I am not a part of the body," it is not for this reason any the less a part of the body. {12:16} And if the ear should say, "Because I am not an eye, I am not a part of the body," it is not for this reason any the less a part of the body. {12:17} If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole were hearing, where would the sense of smell be? {12:18} But now G-d has placed the members, each one of them, in the body, just as He desired.

We have all seen runners participating in Olympic competition. Each runner must run only in the lane they’ve been assigned. If they move out of their lane into another runner’s lane then they are disqualified. If you’re running in the wrong lane, if you’re running in someone else’s lane or if you’re zigzagging between lanes then you are going to be disqualified and you’ll miss finishing the race, you’ll miss the mark of your calling.

Be careful that you do not go where God did not place you. Be careful not to do what G-d did not tell you to do. It is up to us to determine where G-d has called us and stay in that lane; this is very important. If you get in the correct lane, the one HaShem designated for you, and shed all the stuff that weighs you down, like looking at others and being concerned about what they are doing, then you are going to win the race that God has set before you, and you’ll get the prize that He has prepared for those who cross the finish line.

Romim (Romans) {1:16} For I am not ashamed of the Besora Tova (Gospel), for it is the power of G-d for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

If your first priority is not to win the Jewish people to Messiah Yeshua then, according to Scripture, you’re running in the wrong lane. Sure you should be witnessing to everyone you meet, no matter who they are, but you’re priority needs to be to the Jew first! That’s my priority, and that is the lane I am in. That is the reason why I do not go out to speak in churches, because that’s not my priority that is not the lane G-d placed me in.

I want to help you. Some of you are running helter-skelter. You do this for a little while, putting all your effort into it, then after a time when you get bored of doing the this you ere doing then you decide that G-d wants you to do something else, so you put all your effort into doing something else. You keep changing lanes and you’re disqualifying yourself. Run in the lane HaShem has placed you and then stay in your lane.

YYYYYYYYYYYY
